As reported by Insider Gaming and now confirmed by Jez Corden Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is coming to Xbox Game Pass this month! We covered this when Tom Henderson broke the news earlier this month but the story has now been confirmed by Jez on Twitter.

With only a week or so left in the month we expect to see an announcement this week. The timing of this should not be overlooked as this could be seen as a way to combat any negative feelings towards Game Pass after the recent price rises.

Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard King in October 2023 has led to several Activision titles being added to Xbox Game Pass. According to Insider Gaming, “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3,” which launched in November 2023, is expected to join Xbox Game Pass later in July 2024. This aligns with information from Windows Central. Additionally, “Call of Duty: Black Ops 6” will be available on Xbox Game Pass from its release on October 25, 2024.

This move follows the addition of Blizzard’s “Diablo 4” to Xbox Game Pass in March 2024 and precedes the anticipated arrival of the “Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy” in August 2024. Microsoft is also restructuring the Xbox Game Pass tiers, raising prices for the Ultimate and PC Game Pass tiers and introducing a new “Standard” tier that excludes day-one games.

Edit – It is being reported that the latest round of rumours on Twitter actually orginated from @eXtas1stv so credit to them for the news!
