Call of Duty: Black Ops 6

As part of the Xbox Summer Showcase we got to see a lot more detail from the upcoming Call of Duty : Black Ops 6. All the important details are below.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set in the early 1990s and follows Troy Marshall, the protégé of longtime protagonist Alex Woods, who has aged significantly since the events of Black Ops Cold War. Players will embark on a spy-driven campaign alongside Woods, CIA handler Jane Harrow, tech expert Felix Neumann, and assassin Sevati Dumas.

Campaign Missions

The campaign missions offer a variety of gameplay styles:

• Stealth-driven missions in tight hallways
• Expansive operations set in desert environments
• Vault infiltration missions

Players can approach each mission in multiple ways, either through violent or conversational means, allowing for diverse playstyles.

Base of Operations

Between missions, players can explore the Manor, their in-campaign base. Here, they can unlock the returning Evidence Board and engage in target practice.

Multiplayer

The multiplayer mode features 16 new maps at launch, including 12 classic 6v6 maps and 4 smaller-scale Strike maps. An expanded prestige system has been introduced, allowing players to progress beyond the level cap of 55 and unlock additional rewards, including a “classified” bonus at the end of Prestige Master.

Zombies Mode

The popular four-player Zombies mode returns, continuing the “Dark Aether” storyline from Black Ops Cold War. At launch, Zombies will feature two maps.

Warzone Integration

While details are scarce, the game will integrate with Warzone, the popular battle royale mode. More information, including a beta, is expected later this year before the game’s release on October 25th, 2024.
